The senior ETL Developer will report to the director of business intelligence and will be responsible for designing, developing, and supporting our organizations data warehouse. The position will assist with data analysis, constructing technical designs, developing ETL applications, communicating with team members and business stakeholders, and supporting existing ETL applications. This role will lead and coordinate support ETL activities as well as participate in the design and development of new data models.  This position works closely with BI front-end developers to understand organizational data needs and will also work with the DBA for performance design and development and works with QA to validate data quality and design standards. The senior ETL developer will be instrumental to our migration from on premise SQL Server data warehouse to Azure SQL Data Warehouse in 2021.

Required skills:

• Must have worked on Data Warehouse, ETL and BI Technologies for at least 5+ yrs (specific experience in DW/BI)
• Should have been responsible for design and implementation of multiple ETL integration solutions to DW solutions with direct interaction with business stakeholder / Report Developer on understanding their needs and defining the data needs and data cleansing rules for each project.
• Provide thought leadership and evolve technology standards, processes, and procedures in the area of ETL and data architecture
• Must be forward and strategic thinking, open to learning new technologies along with a demonstrated history of technology and process innovation

Technical Experience:

• Hands-on experience in design and implementation of Data Warehousing solutions at Enterprise Level with ability to take on the most challenging and complex ETL projects
• Must possess hands-on experience in SQL Server SSIS and T-SQL development for Analytics Projects
• 5+ years MS SQL Server database experience
• 3+ years Data modeling experience
• 5+ SQL querying experience
• Strong ETL design skills
• Hands-on experience in Query Tuning, Performance Tuning, and building aggregations for large scale DW solutions
• Exposure to BI / Visualization solutions using tools such as SSRS & PowerBI

Designing Skills:

• Strong understanding of dimensional modeling techniques as well as hands-on experience in building dimensional modelling, surrogate keys, type1 & 2 dimensions
• Must have experience in understanding business vision to prepare ETL solution architecture
• Identifying solutions to key technical challenges in projects concerning data warehousing and business intelligence
• Manage warehouse support activities while driving continuous improvement initiatives

Communication Skills:

• Must have good oral and written English communication skills
