Head of Finance

We are looking for an inspiring senior finance specialist ready to take the next step in his/her career. Are you a motivated team player, ready to coordinate the work and plans of our Finance Team and help Beetroot grow to the next level?

Our Finance Team is responsible for accounting, budgeting, forecasting, invoicing, payments, management reporting and supporting all parts of our organisation with their decision making. It is a small international team of specialists, who are looking forward to welcoming you as the next team member. You will work closely with the other members of the Finance Team, our CFO, and many members of other teams within Beetroot’s management.

Responsibilities:

• Work side-by-side with our CFO and the rest of the Finance Team on developing and driving our financial strategy;
• Be an inspiring and supportive leader;
• Make sure the team can perform, but also be a real team player yourself;
• Support the personal and professional development of the team members and the team;
• Be the main advisor to our management team regarding the company’s finances;
• Provide investors, board members and other stakeholders with the data they need, when they need it;
• Develop/upgrade a framework of up to date financial information to support decision making;
• Drive improvement projects regarding financial and other processes and operations to get Beetroot ready for the future;
• Keep the development of our financial infrastructure in pace with our fast-changing environment and organisation;

What we’re looking for:

• 10+ years of experience in Finance and 3+ years of experience in a similar leadership position, preferably in an international company with advanced data-driven decision making, like fast-moving consumer goods, banking, retail, big strategy consultants, IT, etc.
• Experience in building great teams where each member can grow and develop;
• Master-level education in the financial field or similar;
• Advanced understanding of accounting, budgeting, P&L, balance sheet;
• Experience with international financial operations;
• Experience with working with legal entities in different countries;
• Experience in working with ERP systems;
• Strong intermediate English;
• A self-driven team player who is able to see the big picture;
• Flexible and patient; enjoys helping people;
• Have the most knowledge in the company of complicated financial processes and systems, but be able to explain it in an understandable way to others;
• Ability to work independently on reaching high-level goals, but also ready to change to new realities when needed;
• Ability to learn, adapt, teach and lead;
• Advanced knowledge of Excel.

Bonus:

• Experience with working in a non-hierarchical organisation;
• Experience from working in an IT company;
• Experience with implementing ERP systems;
• Experience in working with financial management of software development projects.
