Product Department Manager

The Role

Home Group is looking for a Product Department Manager for its Rivne facility to manage product cycle with major focus on new product development and to support ambitious sales growth agenda. Product Department Manager will be based at operations in Rivne (900+ employees), will report directly to Factory Manager of the factory and will closely cooperate with factory Customer Service Team and with the Group Product Development Team in Europe.

Responsibilities

• Manage product cycle at factory starting from new product design and implementation and up to smooth termination of the product.
• By regular communication with European Commercial team understand customer needs and convert them into offer of the new furniture models, secure timely feasibility study, preparation of the bill of materials/ pricing, coordinate sample production and implementation into serial production.
• Review existing production process related to product structure, suggest improvements with focus on unification of component base, cost reduction, quality and efficiency improvement.
• Secure data collection and reporting to Headquarters on Product Department KPIs, analyze and act on deviations.
• Manager the team consisting of 16 people, develop own subordinates, secure short-term substitution and potential long-term succession.
• Support research and implementation of the "green" raw materials driven from headquarters.
• Contribute to development of the safety culture in the organization, secure proper training of own subordinates and compliance to safety routines.

Requirements

• Male/female Senior professional with experience in Product Development or Technology function in the similar role preferably in furniture production, experience leading a team of at list 3 members.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and to communicate effectively with stakeholders.
• Fluency in Ukrainian language, Intermediate English.
• MS Excel is a must, Auto-CAD and/or similar software is desired.
• Process optimization skills, proven experience in creating Product specifications and other documentation related to product cycle.
• Excellent prioritization and time-management skills, ability to balance big picture and attention to detail.
• Project management skills would be an advantage.
