Data & Process Analyst

The role as Coding & Tracking Data Scientist is a mixture of data & process analyst as well as data scientist in the global programme at Imperial Brands. The role is in the CoE Coding & Tracking in the Manufacturing & Supply Chain function. The role is looking at the central T&T data of imperial from the business process aspect to monitor, analyze and continuously improve processes & systems. The role does not include development activities. These are taken by external partners or Global IT.

Key responsibilities

Data Process Owner:

1. Process Owner for the C&T data & data processes (mainly focusing on manufacturing)
2. Active monitoring of the T&T cloud, local systems, its processes and data
3. Analyze complains and issues in consultation with the Support organizations
4. Fix these issues or open tickets via the C&T support organization
5. Induce developments to avoid these issues happening again
6. Continuously improve the C&T data processes and interfaces
7. Develop, implement & document new processes to avoid production compliance issues for future T&T regulations

Interface to IT key user:

1. Acting as connector between CoE Coding & Tracing and other system responsible
2. Sharing information of new developments with impacted teams and train them on
3. Analyzing on a regular basis with the key users the compliance data
4. Take a leading role for the Hypercare phase of new T&T cloud releases and implementations of new coding & tracking regulations (e.g. UAE, KSA, UK) for the manufacturing solutions

Strategic Technology Research and Improvement:

1. Research for new technologies in order to optimize the data, data processes & data reporting in the manufacturing area
2. Investigate in collaboration with other departments in Blockchain, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, etc. to improve C&T technologies
3. Build synergies with manufacturing systems outside of the C&T area in order to build overall value for the business

3rd Level Support for the C&T Central Area:

1. Act as 3rd level support for all kind of C&T topics for the C&T operations
2. Support C&T Central in developments with regards to processes & data
3. Support business regression tests of new T&T cloud releases in regards to manufacturing solutions.

Key requirements

1. Educated to degree level, ideally with experiences in information technology, economics or equivalent
2. At least 3 years of experience within tobacco/ FMCG industry
3. Good knowledge and experience of MS Office and underlying ERP systems (SAP, QAD)
4. Sound knowledge of data management, coding solutions and related areas
5. Language skills: fluent English, additional language would be advantageous
6. Excellent strategic and tactical planning skills
7. Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
8. Can operate effectively in collaborative and directive business environment and able to develop broad, cooperative relationships with a set of diverse stakeholders
9. Self-motivated, independent and proactive
10. Assertiveness and proven ability to influence cross-functional teams up to senior management without formal authority
11. Confidence operating in matrix-style organizations combining direct and functional reporting
12. Ability to work in a team, based on strong awareness of intercultural relationships.
