Business Sweden (the Swedish Trade and Invest Council) is looking for a Consultant/Project Manager to join its team in Kyiv.

Having re-established its on-the-ground presence in Kyiv in October 2023, Business Sweden is now enhancing its operations to focus on delivering maximum value for Swedish companies looking to expand into Ukraine. With a goal of contributing to the effective utilization of Swedish expertise and solutions, the Business Sweden team in Kyiv works on guiding companies regarding opportunities to participate in the rebuilding and development of Ukraine.

As part of our ongoing efforts to expand, Business Sweden is currently seeking an experienced business development professional or management consultant to join our team in Kyiv. This individual will play a key role in shaping our task force activities across sectors such as healthcare, energy, infrastructure, and beyond.   • looking to join a dedicated team working on increasing Sweden's business footprint in Ukraine
  • interested in leading and delivering consulting projects that provide support to Swedish companies of all sizes and all industries in their international business development and investments in Ukraine
  • experienced in developing proposals and research solutions for market expansion, sales support, stakeholder analysis and/or operational support
  • passionate about assisting clients within market expansion and growth in a highly international context
  • interested in advising both Large- & Mid-sized companies, as well as Start-ups, on questions related to commercial excellence across various sectors

Position is to be based in Kyiv and report to the Country Manager & Trade Commissioner.

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS

Your skills and our requirements:

  • an academic degree within law, economics, finance, or business management
  • minimum 3-6 years of relevant working experience (depending on Consultant or Project Manager level)
  • developed management consulting experience within the consulting sector or strategy departments
  • work experience from any of the below areas: healthcare, energy, infrastructure
  • proven experience from consulting, project sales, and strong client service business acumen
  • proven track record developing and executing deals with deep customer insight, strong negotiation, and closing skills
  • experience from multi-stakeholder projects, including government clients
  • a high level of proficiency in both written and spoken English and Ukrainian is a requirement
  • this position is based in Kyiv and candidates need to have the right to live and work in Ukraine

A Plus:

  • experience from project funding linked to IFIs is meriting
  • experience from legal project work, incl. anti-corruption is meriting
  • experience from an international environment, proven track record of managing multinational teams and working cross-border is meriting
  • working experience from a Management Consultancy firm
