Information Management Specialist in Data Management (OCHA)

The position is located in the Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) in Ukraine. OCHA is part of the United Nations Secretariat responsible for bringing together humanitarian actors to ensure a coherent response to emergencies. OCHA also ensures there is a framework within which each actor can contribute to the overall response efforts. OCHA’s mission is to mobilize and coordinate effective and principled humanitarian action in partnership with national and international actors in order to alleviate human suffering in disasters and emergencies; advocate the rights of people in need; promote preparedness and prevention and facilitate sustainable solutions.

Requirements for candidates:

• 3 years of experience in the use of database systems, such as PostgreSQL, MySQL or Microsoft SQL Server, as well as Microsoft Office is required, including a working knowledge of SQL query language.
• Proficient in the use of Power BI and DAX is desirable;
• Experience in managing and/or maintaining database management systems is required;
• Progressive responsible professional experience in data management, database design, setup of database management systems or related field preferably in humanitarian and/or development context is desirable;
• Experience working with the UN or international organizations is desirable.
• Bachelor degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Management, Information Systems, or any other related to the post description field.
• Ukrainian, Level: Fluent, Required
