Screenwriter (Creative Agency)

The Agency of Wargaming, a large creative unit within the company behind World of Tanks, is on the lookout for a Screenwriter with an excellent grasp of storytelling. In this role, you will be creating scripts for CG trailers, staged and gameplay (or both combined) videos, series, documentaries and feature films, and other videos at the confluence of movie and game development industries. As well as that, you will be in charge of improving the storytelling skills throughout your team and supervising other screenwriters’ work.

What will you do?

• Come up with ideas and characters and develop plots for scripts that are both original and dramatically complex

• Transform these ideas into concepts and present them to potential clients

• Develop concepts into fully-fledged scripts for videos of different genres, purposes, etc.

• Work in tight collaboration with producers and play an active (and proactive, if needed) role in bringing videos to life

• Bolster the knowledge of storytelling among other screenwriters

What are we looking for?

• Solid experience in video production (ideally film or video games industry) in the position of Screenwriter

• Portfolio (you can just share links to videos where you are mentioned in credits as a Screenwriter)

• A virtuoso of style & grammar

• Profound knowledge of screenwriting theory

• A wealth of experience in storytelling

• Upper-intermediate or a higher level of English

• Passion for video games

• True team player with decent communication skills

What additional skills will help you stand out?

• Understanding of the principles of directing and the video creation process

• Ability to draw storyboards

• Basic video editing skills

• Knowledge of Wargaming products
