Position Title: Psychologist for Staff

Duration: 7 months contract

Start date: 01.04.2024. 

Place of work: Ukraine, Kyiv.

DESCRIPTION

This Psychologist will provide counselling and support to staff in addressing the issues and will aim to foster positive and healthy working environment within the team. With professional observation of the personnel and communication with them will aim to prevent stress, burnout and other emotional challenges at work. Counselling will also be practiced once in two weeks in team group sessions with same purpose, although through different inclusive techniques. Additionally, the psychologist will narrowly collaborate with organizational management to implement strategies that enhance employee well-being and contribute to a more productive and satisfied workforce.

The Psychologist will have the following duties and responsibilities.

Direct Service Provision 

• Supporting the mental health of employees through the individual and group meeting with the staff;
• Increasing motivation and productivity of team members, adaptation and organization of work of newly created teams;
• Development and implementing strategies and corporate policy that promote a healthy and productive work environment;
• Assisting HR-manager in selection and testing of candidates;
• Participation in conflict resolution, developing measures to combat stigma, bullying and other manifestations of discrimination in the workplace;
• Participate in hiring and orientation for field psychosocial counselors.
• Write and submit regular reports regarding clinical and training activities, including training and workshop sessions, that focus on progress achieved toward program objectives.
• Participate in the design of and implementation of new programs as well as program evaluation.
• Provide training, mentoring and supportive supervision to partner organization. Coordinate with partner and other organizations.
• Participate in other program and organization-wide activities, meetings and trainings.
• Contribute to the content of inclusive information and communications materials, both printed and digital, to facilitate a wider reach of clients with various needs and comprehension abilities.

 Miscellaneous

• Demonstrate a high level of professionalism while working or coordinating with beneficiaries, their family members and all internal or external parties. Any incident or work-related conflict should be immediately reported to the Country Director. 
• Proactively and thoroughly abide by humedica standards and policies and promote humedica approaches and program models among relevant stakeholders.
• Other duties as assigned by the Project Manager.

Required education, experience, certificates, licenses or registrations

• Master’s degree or equivalent in Psychology.
• At least 5 years’ experience providing psychotherapy to adults, families and groups.
• Certification or licensure as a Psychologist.
• Cultural sensitivity awareness in working with diverse staff and client populations.
• Understanding of and experience developing curriculum and providing training for staff of organization. 
• Experience providing training.
