Name of positionProject Assistant

Length of employment: until the end of 2024, with possibility of an open-ended contract

Type of position: Full time

Place of employment: Mukachevo with travels across the Oblast

Start date: as soon as possible

Responsibilities:

The Project Assistant is responsible for providing support to CCR’s local office in Mukachevo and cooperates closely with the Project Manager and further respective colleagues such as the interpreter or workers of the partner organization or institutions. Under the oversight of the Project Manager (or alternatively the Country Representative for Ukraine), he/she will help with administrative tasks and overall support regarding the project implementation. Specific tasks include (please note a detailed job description will be provided upon hiring):

Administrative support of Caritas Czech Republic Field office:

  • Assist in internal project reporting and monitoring of project progress.
  • Assist in the preparation of narrative reports for donors.
  • Cooperate with implementing partners on South
  • Assist in the coordination of project activities taking place in the Zakarpatska Oblast abd Mykolaiv and Kherson oblast
  • Assist with the preparation of terms of verification of the project activities and their annexes.
  • Assist with preparation of project-related contracts.
  • Review contracts signed by the Field office.
  • Provide field office staff and partners with necessary administrative support (scanning, copying etc).
  • Perform other support tasks assigned by Project Manager or alternatively by the respective Desk Officer based at the Caritas Czech Republic headquarters in Prague.

Qualifications and competencies

Required:

  • knowledge of English
  • excellent knowledge of Ukrainian (oral and written)
  • ability to write reports, official letters etc.
  • organizing and coordination skills
  • ability to perform tasks in proactive, independent, quality and timely manner
  • user skills of MS Office software (predominantly MS Excel and Word)

Recommended:

  • university degree in relevant fields (administration, business management and similar)
  • familiarity with basics of financial management
  • previous experience within NGO or INGO
