Responsibilities:
- Identify leading influential experts in fields of medicine or research relevant to key company’s products, e.g. senior physicians and professors (key opinion leaders (KOLs))
- Initiate & maintain relationships with KOLs to increase awareness of company’s products by designing, developing and delivering effective presentation and by coordinating medical education events
- Provide medical and scientific information to respond to KOLs' technical questions about products or therapeutic area
- Lead meetings with KOLs to discuss relevant scientific literature and address their scientific enquiries
- make educational presentations to senior doctors and researchers, for example on clinical trial data
- Respond to scientific enquiries from customers and internal colleagues
- Gather information from KOLs as to how they are using company’s products
- Feed this information back to marketing and sales colleagues to help develop marketing materials and commercial strategy
- Develop and deliver scientific training courses to other staff members and customers
- Provide information to clinicians with an interest in studying company’s products in a different context, or with a different patient group from the one it was initially intended
- Keep up to date with the latest scientific research and clinical data relevant to company’s focus products
- Ensures all activities are compliant and have obtained necessary approvals through the appropriate medical, legal, and regulatory review process
- Other duties as assigned
Required education, experience and skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Medicine or a related field
- Successful experience in the pharmaceutical industry
- Strong knowledge of working in pharmaceutical market environment; understanding of healthcare industry
- Ability to travel 40% - 50% of the time
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products, namely Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- English – upper-intermediate
- Car license
