About the job:

Under the supervision of the National Protection Manager (MHPSS/GBV), the Protection Coordinator will also work as a translator for the National Protection Manager and assist in the facilitation of workshops and liaising with local partners on a regular basis. The Protection Coordinator will be responsible for the day-to-day support of DCA’s protection activities in Ukraine including but not limited to ensuring that DCA’s protection policies and procedures are followed and implemented consistently.

• Act as translator for the National Protection Manager in meetings with partners and during capacity building trainings. English B2/C1
• Help in the facilitation of trainings and conduct trainings on GBV mainstreaming.
• Participate in the implementation of psychosocial support and gender-based violence programs in the designated locations of the project.
• Creates and regularly update reports from partner activities.
• Monitors overall budget consumption with respect to donors’ constraints.
• Submit timely project reports (monthly/ weekly) including quantitative and qualitative data to the upper management. 
• Ensure that partner organisations are implementing and reporting on quality MHPSS/GBV programs. 
• Responsible for the planning and implementation of Protection activities, closely monitoring, evaluating, and reporting their development and flagging potential issues on time.
• Coordinate with local/ international organizations including local authorities, stakeholders, UN agencies, relevant working groups, and clusters.
• Able to travel to different partners in various locations in Ukraine.
• Participate in the implementation of psychosocial support and gender-based violence programs in the designated locations of the project.

Work related travels are expected in this position.
