DESCRIPTION

Our client presents a worldwide portfolio of shipping, transportation, e-commerce, and business services. They offer integrated business applications through collaboratively managed operating companies using the expertise and reliability.

Currently, we are looking for Data Software Engineer with strong SQL skills and ETL/ELT experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Building the data pipelines for the Service Success Measurement Dashboard
• Collaborate with Data Analyst (Prototyping) on discovering and profiling enterprise data sources the dashboard needs
• Implement data pipelines producing the necessary data products (pipelines, data views)
• Collaborate with EPAM Cloud development team to meet standards
• Contribute to Service implementations (establish balance between EPAM data engineering standards and self-service data product development by our client’s analytics community)

REQUIREMENTS

• 4+ years’ experience with DWBI/ETL
• Knowledge of GCP and BigQuery
• Experience with Python/Java
• In-depth knowledge of SQL/noSQL
• Any RDBMS (Oracle, MSSQL, MySQL etc) experience is expected
• Intermediate or higher English level, both spoken and written (B1+)

NICE TO HAVE 

• Creation of automated tooling for cloud platforms
• Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer Certification
• Experience with architecting and handling large datasets, structured and semi-structured data formats
• Experience with: streaming processing; messaging platforms; testing and tuning
• Experience with GCP based security hardening including IAM, ACL, firewall rules, data traffic encryption
• In-depth experience with databases and tools analysis
• Previous involvement in processes design and development for the data modeling, mining, and analysis
• Extensive experience in methodologies and processes for large-scale databases management on-premises and cloud environment
• In-depth understanding and knowledge of distributed version control systems like Git
• Strong understanding of cloud-based monitoring tools including application level and logging
