DESCRIPTION

Our customer has been making award-winning games and engine technology that empowers others to make visually stunning games and 3D content for over 25 years. The client’s award-winning Unreal Engine technology not only provides game developers the ability to build high-fidelity, interactive experiences for PC, console, mobile, and VR, it is also a tool being embraced by content creators across a variety of industries such as media and entertainment, automotive, and architectural design.

Our client’s account is looking for AQAs to contribute into their game engine toolset (think Unreal Engine, but lighter). It will be a collaborative work with our client’s engineers/SDET Lead and with EPAM Python automation engineer.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Client facing position, direct communication with our client’s team
• Analyze existing state of automation of project (which is in very early start phase)
• Advise on proper automation approaches and best practices, advise on tool selection
• Build and maintain automated test suites in at least unit test level
• Implement Automated functionality tests to replace manual functionality checks for basic editor functionality
• Framework: Horde/Gauntlet will likely be where the tests will be built initially, that may change with time

REQUIREMENTS

• 3+ years’ experience in software test automation engineering
• Profound experience in C# 
• Unreal experience (e.g basic concepts like editor vs cooked builds, packaging, console workflows etc) - 'hobby level' is ok, i.e. you investigated UE for your own purposes and you have a basic understanding of concepts.
• Strong soft skills, efficient communication with client in English 
• Python experience would be a plus
• Knowledge of C++ would be a plus
• Intermediate or higher English level, both written and spoken (B1+)
