Lead Test Automation Engineer with Java

DESCRIPTION

Our client is an American company, one of the world leaders that uses a multi-level marketing company to sell a variety of products, primarily in the health, beauty, and home care markets.

This project focuses on AWS cloud migration of MAGIC application that computes the bonuses for the customer in real-time.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist Test Lead while adopting automation framework
• Setup automation test processes in FE stream
• Suggest tools for visualizing test coverage, and assist Test Lead in order to set it up
• Drive automation testing and reporting
• Perform both automation and manual testing (the number of manual tests will depend on the team, the more we cover with automation tests - the less manual tests we have)
• Drive testing within Back end development team (4 Java devs + 2 AQAs)
• Assist middle QAs if required while automation, so that they would follow the right Best practices
• Follow / advice best practices and agreed AQA process
• Work closely with developers in order to push to lower level of testing pyramid the majority of the tests
• Advice options for automation
• Prepare mocks
• Advice contracts
• Report progress and improve automation test coverage

REQUIREMENTS

• 3+ years of experience in automation engineering using Java
• Expertise in Java 8
• Strong knowledge of Selenium
• Good understanding of REST, SOAP, WSDL, JSON, XML
• Experience in JIRA
• Experience in manual and automated testing of REST APIs
• Confident knowledge of object-oriented programming techniques
• Good understanding of UI testing
• Experience of Performance testing
• Experience of testing web-based applications
• Strong communication skills
• Upper-Intermediate or higher English level, both spoken and written (B2+)
