Pulses Trader

We are seeking an experienced Pulses Trader to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for buying and selling pulses, such as lentils, beans, chickpeas, and peas, on domestic and international markets. The Pulses Trader will develop and maintain relationships with growers, processors, and customers to ensure reliable supply and demand, while managing market risks and maximizing profits.

 Responsibilities:

1. Research and analyze market trends, supply and demand factors, and pricing information for pulses.
2. Negotiate contracts for the purchase and sale of pulses with growers, processors, and customers.
3. Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers and customers to ensure reliable supply and demand.
4. Monitor and manage market risks through hedging and other risk management techniques.
5. Collaborate with logistics and operations teams to ensure timely delivery of products to customers.
6. Maintain accurate records of transactions, inventory, and pricing information.
7. Stay up-to-date on industry regulations, trade policies, and market developments.
8. Identify and pursue new business opportunities and expand the company's customer base.

 Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in agriculture, economics, business, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in pulses trading or a related field.
3. Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret and use market data to make informed trading decisions.
4. Excellent communication and negotiation skills to build relationships with suppliers and customers.
5. Knowledge of logistics and supply chain management.
6. Familiarity with hedging and risk management strategies.
7. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
8. Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
9. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software.
