This role defines a high-level enterprise-wide IT Architecture, focusing on the mapping of I/T capabilities to business needs. The focus is on defining the relationships, flows and implementation of business (processes/activities/functions, information), applications, data and technology in the enterprise and the transitional process necessary for implementing technology in response to changing business needs.
The responsibilities and duties
- Find ways in which to improve our IT department’s functions so they support our future goals
- Create business architecture models that reflect our strategies and goals
- Evaluate our systems engineering, talent recruiting and accounting models for discrepancies or vulnerabilities
- Locate ways to reduce costs in IT and business leadership
- Identify ways to increase employee knowledge and skills to support future growth
- Conduct research in the talent management industry to find ways in which to improve our operations
- Provide business architecture and systems processing guidance
- Create and implement a business vision and multi-year plan
- Translating or mapping Business strategy into IT strategy.
- Aligning local and group business initiatives with the Enterprise Architecture
- Participation in the development of IT strategies
- Developing strategy to improve the current IT Landscape. Developing high level roadmap for implementation, modernization and replacement of IT systems
- Developing architectural and technological standards
- Developing Data architecture principals
- Monitoring and review new IT solutions for compliance with the current and future Enterprise architecture and IT strategy, architectural and technological standards
Qualifications and Skills
- 2+ years’ experience defining and implementing strategies under a CIO or equivalent
- MBA preferred but not required
- Extensive experience with enterprise architecture best practices and goals
- Federated Enterprise Architecture Certification required
- Excellent leadership and motivational skills
- theoretical and practical skills with well-known IT architecture frameworks, TOGAF preferred;
- understanding of middleware purposes and best practices as Enterprise Service Bus, API management, etc.
- knowledge of hardware layer organizations: principals, best practices;
- familiar with overall principals of computers networks and IT Security management;
- work experience in Agile environment;
- excellent communication, negotiation, meeting facilitation skills;
- English upper-intermediate level
