At this point, Zelh is looking for an After-Hours Dispatch for our third-party logistics company.


A few words about the client: they are a third-party logistics provider (3PL) based in Newport, Kentucky. They specialize in FTL freight - particularly refrigerated and frozen food, over-dimensional freight, multi-pick and multi-drop shipments, and fresh produce.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Oversee After-Hour customer communication
  • Develop carrier relationships to support our customers effectively
  • Send and Receive Rate Confirmations
  • Give timely and competitive expedited spot quotations after-hours
  • Build tenders as they come over after-hours promptly and efficiently
  • Manage AH load postings, coordinate inbound and outbound calling to carriers
  • Send BOL and ETA to Truckload Account Managers and Managed Account Managers
  • Cover all urgent freight that is critical after-hours and assist with overflow/PTO-challenged shipments
  • Utilize carrier analytics and other internal resources to make informed buying decisions
  • Maintain and grow relationships with carrier accounts, including conducting account reviews and identifying opportunities for additional collaboration
  • Resolve problems, including identifying issues, thinking critically to determine the best course of action, and implementing solutions
  • Observe our bandwidth AH, make suggestions on continuous improvement for customer/carrier support AH
  • Contact with carriers to determine availability and negotiate transportation rates
  • Provide consistent and exceptional service levels to contracted carriers and internal customers
  • Understand the technology platform and drive automation
  • Leverage technology to secure carriers for customer shipments
  • Study and understand market trends and seasonality
  • Provide tracking and tracing information throughout the life of the order as required by the customer through communication with the carrier


Working conditions:

  • Remote eligibility
  • Shifts would be as follows (Ukraine working hours)

1st person would work:

Wednesday: 02:00–06:00 

Thursday: 02:00–14:00

Friday: 02:00–14:00

Saturday: 02:00–14:00

2nd person:

Sunday: 02:00–14:00

Monday: 02:00–14:00

Tuesday: 02:00–14:00

Wednesday: 02:00–06:00

Job requirements

  • 1+ years of experience in logistics
  • Strong ability to persuade, motivate, negotiate, and influence others

  • Driven, enthusiastic, and highly motivated
  • Ability to build strong relationships

  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Proven problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Experience with transportation management systems, Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook, as well as the ability and willingness to learn new software
  • Speak and write in English fluently
