Humanitarian Trainer

TGH has been present in Ukraine since 2015. Since 2022 TGH has expanded its operations via the opening of 4 operational bases in Ukraine (Lviv, Cherkasy, Vinnytsia and Dnipro), enabling it to carry out activities to meet basic (WaSH, shelter, NFI, multi-use cash) and protection needs in the west, center and east of the country. 

AREAS OF EXPERTISE SOUGH:

Humanitarian action environment:

• Knowledge of the sector and the geopolitical challenges of humanitarian action.
• Mastery of humanitarian principles and quality standards.
• Knowledge of the humanitarian "system", the main players and coordination mechanisms - clusters.
• Knowledge of international humanitarian law.

Project methodology and MEAL approach:

• Mastery of the concepts and challenges of project management in the humanitarian sector
• Mastery of the project cycle and key project management tools (logical framework, planning, etc.)
• Mastery of the MEAL approach and of the concepts and principles relating to Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning systems.
• Mastery of specific tools to meet the challenges of accountability and organizational learning

Funders:

• Knowledge of the various international funding agencies and the different types of financing available to an international solidarity organization (particularly in Ukraine).
• Mastery of the financing cycle, as well as the methods and tools needed to define a project's financing strategy and plan.
• Mastery of donor procedures, appropriate methods and techniques for managing the steps involved in obtaining a funding contract: application, implementation and reporting deliverables.
• Experience in donor relations and mastery of the key elements for developing a quality relationship with financial partners.

THE TRAINER IS IN CHARGE OF:

• Preparing and running training sessions based on the training materials provided by Bioforce, in line with Bioforce's pedagogical approach and ensuring the quality of the training delivered.
• Co-leading training sessions and taking part in the highlights and side events (conferences, round tables, etc.) organized as part of Learning Week.
• To this end, the trainer will also participate in the Training of Trainers course organized by Bioforce in spring 2024, in order to join a regional pool of trainers in the humanitarian sector in preparation for Learning Week 2024, and with a view to other possible mobilizations.

DESIRED PROFILE:

1. You are of Ukrainian nationality and fluent in English and Ukrainian.
2. You are interested in adult training and participative approaches, favoring a pedagogical approach based on the acquisition of specific professional skills.
3. You have and/or wish to develop real teaching skills and the ability to lead learning activities.
4. You have professional experience in an international solidarity context.
5. Experience in training would also be appreciated.
6. You can demonstrate that you have developed one or more areas of expertise related to one of the areas presented in the offer.

Salary — 12 days at €147/day
