AutoCAD Drafting Specialist
Our Client, residential construction company in the Sacramento area, USA. They specialize in land division, street development, design/build new residential homes, and occasional remodels. Currently builds 4-8 homes a year and are seeking individuals who will contribute to our company growth.
Job summary: the AutoCad Drafting Specialist position will require an intermediate knowledge of AutoCad Software. This position will also require the ability to read architectural construction plans/details and understand county/city building requirements. The AutoCad Drafting Specialist will be responsible for working closely with project management team to create plans, elevations, and revisions.
- Must be able to utilize AutoCAD software to produce 2-dimensional drawings
- Read and understand building construction architectural and electrical drawings
- Prepares documentation to support design drawings
- Produce new drawings and revise existing drawings using the most cost-effective methods available
- Liaison between project managers, engineers, and architects to deliver optimized plans.
- Identify inaccuracies or problems and escalate to appropriate individuals.
- Initiate construction permits through appropriate local governments.
- Communicate with government agencies to submit and route appropriate documentation in the permitting process.
Qualifications:
- Computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Emails, BluBeam, DropBox, and Wunderlist)
- Proficient in AutoCAD software
- Experience with operating and maintaining plotter
- Able to read architectural drawing and blueprints
- Requires familiarity with drafting techniques and engineering concepts and terminology
- Must be able to read and comprehend detailed customer requirements, data sheets and supplier specifications
- Excellent time management, written, verbal, and problem-solving skills, accuracy, creativity, attention to detail, ability to multi-task and prioritize work
- Work with others in open office environment
