BID MANAGER

 

Overview:

  • Netcracker' focus is to deliver the best solutions to our prospects,  where the bid process is a "MUST" for any purchase or contract;
  • The Bid Management process is a significant part of the overall Sales Process. The main goal of the Bid Management process is to manage diverse teams in order to produce wining proposals in response to the RFP, RFQ, RFI received from the existing customers and prospects.
  • The nature of Bid Management process is to plan, manage and track the progress of response to the RFP (Q,I) and organize and communicate with the bid team which includes departments and individuals within the company involved in the response preparation;
  • The Bid Manager is the project manager of the bid preparation project with the aim to win a contract. The candidate will be expecting to work very closely with the Sales Team.

 Responsibilities:

  • Support the opportunity qualification process.  Perform initial analysis of the opportunity for both technical and commercial fit. 
  • Organizing a bid team with the relevant service/technical/business knowledge required to prepare the bid;
  • Support the Day-1 Pricing review.  Leading/managing the Day-1 pricing review meetings with the sales and relevant bid teams.
  • Management of the bid team of company-wide personnel and external Partners;
  • Preparing and reviewing the commercial aspects of the bid to ensure that all areas have been covered and that pricing has been accounted for all required costs;
  • Provide input to the winning bid strategies, service delivery approach and commercial propositions;
  • Be active participant in defining the initial solution strategy and from time to time to even challenge the solution to ensure meeting customer requirement/expectation.
  • Ensuring that a winning bid has been prepared and that customer's requirements have been fully addressed.
  • Ensuring that Unique Selling Points are clearly highlighted;
  • Maintain dialogue with Solution Architects, Project Manager, and other relevant team members;
  • Co-ordinate pricing generation activity with the Sales Executives, Engineering, Delivery, and Finance;
  • Arrange all post bid reviews with customers post contract award;
  • Following award, work seamlessly with Program Management and Account Management to ensure handover is smooth;
  • Take responsibility for win/loss ratio statistics;
  • Be fully conversant with Netcracker Portfolio.

 Qualifications:

  • Relevant University Degree in IT, Software Development, Telecom or equivalent education or experience;
  • Minimum of 5 years in IT/Telecom and 2 years in Bid/Solution or Project Management; Experience in sales support activities / tender support activities for enterprise level systems (such as ERP, CRM, Billing) and/or telecom providers;
  • Excellent communication skills in verbal and written forms in English;
  • Ability to travel.
