Our customer is a leading software provider for education with HQ in New York. We've been partnering for about 10 years already, and during this time successfully delivered a variety of projects and products, which help US teachers educate and assess the results of schoolchildren.

Currently, we're working on 10 different projects within the customer's portfolio.

YOU ARE

A JavaScript (Node JS) Back End Software Engineer willing to develop as a Full Stack Engineer. The current vacancy is open for our Enrollment Team division. The product is aimed to cover student enrollment processes in various educational institutions. The candidate will join our client's team of professionals located in New York.

You work with such technologies as JavaScript, Python, Java Tools, and these frameworks: Node JS (back end side), Dynamo DB, PostgreSQL, AWS, Load Balancing EC2, S3, CloudWatch, IM.

YOU WANT TO WORK WITH

Your responsibilities and duties will enable you to

• Coordinate work with other team members
• Create/update/review development documentation
• Writing reusable, testable, and efficient code
• Take part in code reviews
• Perform unit and integration testing when needed
• Participate in project meetings

You demonstrate the following skills

• Strong JavaScript and Node.js skills
• Experience with Python or Java is your big plus point
• Practice with relational DB
• Strong understanding of DB queries (SQL)
• Expertize with REST endpoints, preferably by using Node.js
• Familiarity with browser development tools
• Previous experience with Jira or any other issues tracking software
• Confidence by working in a Linux environment and Git
• AWS experience is a great advantage
• Great communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to communicate with the customer on a daily basis
• At least Intermediate strong English level or higher
• Ability to work independently with no supervision
