Technology Plan Lead

    Purpose of the role: 

     

    The Technology Planning Lead's primary responsibility will be to organise and perform projects & programme management for McDonald's technology portfolio including project process, documentation and communication. This role will drive the planning and delivery of new technologies and services, ensure teams' adherence to service development and deployment processes according to roadmap.

     

    The Technology Planning Lead will be responsible for maintain vendor relationships between businesses and suppliers, negotiating contracts & commercial agreements, providing compliance and cost control.

     

    Main responsibilities: 

     

    • Plan, organise, monitor and control of project\program development and deployment
    • Manage the content, quality, schedule, resources, documentation and estimate project risks;
    • Monitor and control team performance against project plans
    • Manage the successful delivery of technology projects on time, to budget and of the right quality through appropriate use of standard management methodology, report on all aspects of the delivery and ultimately hand-over the solution or service to the operation team
    • Ensure all relevant technology service management processes are adhered to and implemented with formal documentation completed
    • Coordinate internal resources and partners for the delivery of technology projects\programs
    • Develop and maintain relationships with partners to facilitate the vendor management process
    • Establishes effective processes for managing the software\hardware vendors and compliance claims.
    • Communicates IT standards and new IT solutions, processes, and policies to the businesses, functions, and geographies and to the IT delivery suppliers/partners
    • Proactively promote your knowledge across the technology teams and the business through presentations, training, publications and mentoring
    • Provide leadership to the technology team comprising direct reports, virtual members and partners
    • Evaluate the performance of the technology staff through day-to-day project delivery, successful deployments, ability to reach milestones, and ability to follow the project management process
    • Ensure adherence to company and IT policies and procedures

     

    Knowledge, skills and experience: 

     

    Specific skills include, but are not limited to, the ability to:

     

    • Demonstrated ability to exercise excellent independent judgment and express creativity and initiative in a leadership capacity
    • Prior resource and project management experience
    • Excellent organizational and follow-up skills with strong attention to detail
    • Superior customer service skills and experience in a client-facing role
    • Breadth of technical skills related to the hardware, software and IT infrastructure of an organization. Be able to get hands-on when issues are escalated to help troubleshoot and resolve an issue
    • Effective and positive role model, mentor and leader

     

    Knowledge and experience:

     

    • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, MIS, Business or similar degree
    • 3 + total years of progressively responsible roles relating to technical project management, process development or consulting industry
    • Has experience or proficiency with technology projects
    • Strong project management and process development skills
    • Has experience with vendor\supplier management
    • Proven background in ITIL and Knowledge Management processes preferable
    • Strong analytical, problem solving, and quality experience
    • Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills
    • Project Management Professional certification is a plus
    • English: upper-intermediate
