Compliance and Licensing Officer

Summary

Compliance and Licensing Officer's objective is to manage risk appropriately, by acting proactively on corporate compliance matters as well as lead and facilitate licensing processes when required.

Main Responsibilities:

• Ensures company and its subsidiaries remains properly licensed to conduct business in all applicable jurisdictions.
• Completes all license renewals on a timely basis of existing and new businesses.
• Researches requirements and obtains additional licenses as necessary based on changes in the business or applicable licensing statutes and regulations.
• Maintains and updates licensing files.
• Establishes and maintains relationships with licensing agency staff.
• Prepares and files all required periodic reporting to regulatory authorities.
• Coordinates with third party service provider for business registrations
• Ensures contracts are reviewed, as needed, and copies retained upon execution.
• Provides timely responses to internal clients seeking advice on licensure inquiries.

Required Skills:

• 3+ years of regulatory compliance experience or related fields (e.g. risk, legal)
• Experience of local licensing process
• Master's and/or Bachelor's degree in International Trade, Criminal Justice, Business Administration, or a related (technical) field
• The ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with all stakeholders
• Excellent communication skills both spoken and written and fluent in English.
