Middle Java Developer (Gaming Project)

We are working on a Java backend project. The product’s purpose is handling money transactions and managing marketing promotions. The project consists of several services, partly implemented as microservices, somewhat as Java EE services, and an administration tool.

Required skills

— Experience in commercial software development — 3+ years
— Ability to design and implement solutions on a component level
— Strong knowledge of Java 8+
— Strong knowledge of Spring
— Solid experience with Springboot
— Strong knowledge of Relational DBs, ORMs
— Strong experience in designing REST APIs
— Basic experience with Java EE
— Solid experience with Jenkins
— Experience in elucidating technical requirements
— Hands-on experience with Jira or similar tool
— At least intermediate level of English

Responsibilities

— Expanding services functionality
— Implementing new features
— Migrating Java EE code to microservices
— Trouble-shooting and implementing new algorithms for transaction handling

Project description

The team is distributed between Poland, Italy, and Ukraine. There are six team members. All of them are Java developers, including the team lead. The team/tech lead is located in Poland and drives all the day-to-day management and development. Organizational overheads are kept at a minimum; the main focus is delivery. All the team members are of Senior and Middle levels. The team is friendly and cooperative. You will work in the customer’s team, so expect regular direct communication with the customer side.
