Senior JavaScript Developer (Social Shopping Platform)

We are glad to invite a Senior React developer to join one of the most dynamically growing departments, Mobile & Web Solutions, that unites more than 200 professionals in various technologies. We are looking for a positive thinker with excellent communication skills who will work in the MarTech team in partnership with the mid-level Web engineer, Tech Lead, and Web Team Lead to help drive the SEO initiatives.

CUSTOMER

Our customer is from the UK. The company owns a global marketplace for the fashion industry that allows users to sell customized or rare clothes and accessories. It provides a way to recycle unwanted items for money. The customer is pretty successful, has raised more than 100 million USD of investments since the project has more than 15 million active users.

PROJECT

The project is a social shopping platform - a mix of retail and social network platforms. Users have profile pages where they can post pictures and descriptions of what they are selling and their price. Generally, a platform specializes in clothes retail. Posts can contain hashtags and additional information to make searching for items more comfortable.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Take the lead on Web/SEO projects within MarTech
• Review and manage work from the mid-level engineers
• Discovery and scoping for web initiatives
• Implementing SEO initiatives
• Identifying and raising risks/dependencies with SEO initiatives
• Documenting any feature development
• Liaise with Web Tech Lead to ensure that all work aligns to internal processes and standards

REQUIREMENTS

• At least 4 years of commercial experience with JavaScript
• Strong testing experience Jest, React Testing Library, Test Cafe
• Experience with SSR
• Strong knowledge of Next.js
• Familiarity with Jira ticketing system
• Excellent communication skills
• At least Upper-Intermediate level of English
