Junior Java QA Automation Engineer (IRC127657)

GlobalLogic Ukraine is inviting a Junior Java QA Automation Engineer to join its Kyiv office.

Our Client is the Company is a world-leading provider of telecommunications equipment & services to mobile & fixed network operators. Over 1,000 networks in more than 180 countries use company’s equipment, & more than 40 percent of the world’s mobile traffic passes through company’s networks.

GlobalLogic is engaged into System Integration activities of a various OSS/BSS solutions (Network Inventory Management System, Number Management and IP Address Management System) for a leading provider of telecommunications services in the Middle East. The company provides mobile and fixed telephone services, along with Internet and other data services, to residential and business customers.

Scope of the project is to upgrade/develop existing solution (integration custom modules) that connect network inventory management and customer number management solutions with 3rd-party systems (CRM, NMS, Activation, trouble ticketing system, workforce management system, order management).

Project main activities are performed within the GMT+2 and GMT+3 time zones and follows Ukrainian work week.

Requirements:

Mandatory

– 1+ years of testing experience (Java enterprise applications)

– Strong QA methodologies knowledge

– Java Core knowledge

– Linux experience: basic/regular user + command line

– Experience with tools and technologies: JUnit or TestNG, Git, SQL (Oracle/Postgress), RESTfull web services

– Experience with Integration Testing

– Good written and verbal English skills (intermediate or better)

Nice to have

– Experience with automation of Web application testing using Selenium WebDriver

– Performance Tesing & Tools: VuGen, Jmeter

– Experience with application servers (JBoss, Weblogic, Tomcat)

– CI/CD basic understanding

– Practical use of Jira

– Telecom/OSS/BSS background

Preferences:

Weblogic, JBoss, SOAP UI, Jmeter, automation testing selenium web driver

Responsibilities:

– Analyze business functional requirements

– Manual and automation testing of custom Web applications and web services

– System integration testing, regression testing

– New test cases automation

– Maintenance of the existing test cases per functionality changes

– Create test documentation

– Create/track/report/retest software defects in Jira

– Everyday communication with project stakeholders
