GlobalLogic Ukraine is inviting a Quality Assurance Lead (Automation) to join its Kharkiv office.

The client is an industrial asset disposition and management company, that sells heavy industrial equipment and trucks through auctions and other transactional channels. The program consisting of 20+ engineers will include Architecture, Platform, and Data Management teams working from offshore and nearshore locations augmenting the existing onsite engineering team.

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced QA expert to join our QA team working on the implementation of a cloud-based distributed data pipeline in a project of modernization of client’s Data Warehousing

The requirements for this position are the following:

• Experience in Test Design for cloud-based data-centered solutions

• Understand QA approaches for data pipelines

• Experience with Java, both for test automation and application development

• Significant QA experience with cloud-based applications, including direct hands-on experience with ad-hoc query programs, automated testing tools, and reporting software

• Ability to develop test design for cloud-based data streaming applications

• Ability to automate testing of data streaming solution, both for a specific phase, as well as end-to-end, using automated testing tools, and reporting software

• Performance testing experience in a cloud environment

• Experience in PiScript and JUnit

Will be a plus:

• Experience with AWS and/or GCP  services

• Experience with Apache Kafka

• Experience with test automation in other modern programming languages (Python, Java, Scala, C#, etc.)

• Zephyr

Preferences:

• QA Performance, Confluent Kafka, AWS, AWS Kinesis

Responsibilities:

• Adopt to custom Test Automation Framework and have the ability to manage, develop  and enhance test scripts within the QA framework 

• Develop & Execute Test Cases and document results for data-oriented solutions

• Participate in work planning including calculation of testing estimates

• Enforcement of quality assurance processes, measures, and testing standards, providing QA expertise and support to developers

• Enforcement of quality assurance processes, measures and testing standards, and best practices, providing QA expertise and support to the development

• Ensure the required level of test coverage

• Develop & Execute Test Cases and document results for data-oriented solutions

• Participate in work planning including calculation of testing estimates
