Junior IT Helpdesk Engineer (IRC85451)

GlobalLogic Ukraine is inviting a Junior IT Helpdesk Engineer to join its Kyiv office.

The team provides IT HelpDesk services for Harmonic organizations worldwide. It includes Active Directory, virtualization, IP network, and IP-telephony line support, full IT office infrastructure support for Kyiv engineering lab.

Harmonic is a technology company that develops and markets video routing, server, and storage products for companies that produce, process, and distribute video content for television and the Internet. GlobalLogic set up a dedicated lab and is responsible for development of various product lines like receiver decoder processor, stream processing platform, EdgeQAM system, media server, storage solutions, etc.

Requirements

• Good knowledge of Microsoft Windows OS (Win7, Win10, Server 2008 & 2012), Microsoft Office suite;
• Basic knowledge in MacOS;
• Basic knowledge in Active Directory, MS Office 365;
• Experience working with network fundamentals (TCP/IP, routing, switching). OSI model understanding - How it works;
• DHCP, DNS, VPN, VoIP fundamentals;
• English - intermediate.

Responsibilities

• Maintains computer & IT asset management, including an inventory of all current and retired IT equipment;
• Assists the Helpdesk to perform a system update and maintenance;
• Assists the Helpdesk in responding and troubleshooting network virus attacks, outage and system performance;
• Tracks maintain and escalate technical helpdesk service requests;
• Troubleshoots hardware and software trouble tickets;
• Prioritizes, addresses, and resolves technical issues using independent judgment;
• Ensure continued smooth operation of the global IT infrastructure;
• Practice sustainable incident response and blameless postmortems.
