Sr. Software Engineer С/Python

Overview:

This position involves the development of IO Device Drivers for Mellanox line of storage products, developing open-source storage products (spdk) and integration Mellanox specific offload technologies into various internal and open-source projects.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and test IO device drivers and related features in current and future product offering.
• IO interfaces include: NVMe, NVMe-oF, iSER, SRP, RDMA, TCP ...
• Develop Linux user space IO Device Drivers that utilize the SPDK/DPDK environment.
• Enhance existing Linux kernel-based/user-space IO Device Drivers for current products.
• Review the development products from teammates, including: design reviews, code reviews, etc.
• Collaborate with project management on development planning activities, as well as monitoring development progress and issue resolution.
• Collaborate with Mellanox customers for co-development, co-design and integration of Mellanox storage solution

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent.
• Minimum 10+ years experience

Knowledge and Skills:

• Experienced in Linux Kernel and user space development.
• Experienced in device driver development.
• Experienced with storage and networking protocols (NVMe, SAS, SCSI, iSCSI, TCP/IP).
• Experienced with Network stacks and protocols (user-space and kernel based)
• Proficient with the git version control system or similar software version control systems.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Proficient in software design, including methodologies and design tools.
• Proficient in software estimation and planning.
• Proficient in programming in C, python
