Our customer is a software company, that provides software with advanced analytics capabilities to the industrial process manufacturing sector. It provides software and services that convert industrial process data into information, enable discovery, increase collaboration, and ultimately drive better business decisions that lead to seamless execution, increased earnings, and continuous improvement.

We’re looking for an engineer who’ll join the team of high-skilled senior engineers for research and development, performance optimization of the application.

The job includes building layers for third-party connectors for one of their main components. The main language is Python though polyglot language is preferred (some Java/Kotlin/TypeScript experience is a plus). Cloud knowledge is a plus (AWS, Azure or GCP).

MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Build new features of application with close collaboration with other team members and product management
Provide support to internal operation teams to ensure systems are compliant and secure
Increasing unit/Integration tests coverage
Risk estimations and management
Report current status, estimates and risks to Scrum Master and stakeholders
Blend in our clients engineering culture

EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Must have:

3+ years of commercial development experience
2+ years of Python experience
Full application lifecycle experience
Good grasp of software engineering principles and practices
An ability to investigate and debug complex issues including performance tuning experience, troubleshooting, core dump analysis, …
Experience in Cloud native software stacks (AWS/Azure/GCP) and execution environments (Kubernetes, Dockers)
Strong development practices including code reviews, unit testing and regression testing
Upper-Intermediate English
Very good communication skills
