Java/ELK Tech Lead #7000

As Tech Lead, you will work on one of the world's largest marketplace, dealing with one billion events per day and contribute as part of R&D self-organized team working in a challenging, innovative environment for our client.

Investigate, create, and implement the solutions for existing technical challenges, including building/enhancing the frameworks used by other development teams. Evangelize the best practices among development teams. Responsible for the quantitative and qualitative results. We are building a team within an existing client to work onsite at the client's office in San Francisco.

MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Be a technical leader for the development team
• Resolve most complex development and research tasks
• Comprehensive analysis of the existing technical solution, tools, and frameworks
• Proposal and implementation of logging and monitoring best practices and optimization in Java microservices architecture using ELK stack and DataDog
• Participate in infrastructure optimization and logging pipeline re-architecture
• Share the gained knowledge and best practices among development teams
  

EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

MUST HAVE:

• 5+ years of commercial Java development experience
• 2+ years in projects with 100+ millions events per day
• Strong experience centralized logging and monitoring solutions, i.e. ELK stack and DataDog
• Wide experience with Java logging
• Strong OOP skills and SOLID understanding
• Good English (oral & written) and communication skills in general
