Big Data Team Lead Engineer for Lohika Digital Media Agency Project

Purpose of the job

Our current customer is a digital agency that connects brands and consumers. The agency is more than 400 people strong, manages over $600MM in media spend and deploys campaigns in 70 markets in many cities around the world. Main tasks and responsibilities:

• Consults Lohika clients with best engineering approaches, technologies, architecture, design, tools, and solutions.
• Effectively communicates the technological decisions at meetings, calls, and presentations.
• Ensures effective communication between all stakeholders (team members, other Lohika staff, customer side) that is related to the team's Areas of Responsibilities (AOR) and deliveries.
• Design data warehouses according to data processing needs.
• Creates and maintains ETL procedures and functions based on Big Data solutions.
• Performs end-to-end data flow checks.
• Develops analytical solutions, e.g. BI reports and dashboards.
• Develops data platform API endpoints for the 3rd party application.
• Optimizes existing data solutions.
• Provides training for other team members on his/her area of responsibility.
• Coordinates teamwork of all involved parties.
• Reports to Engineering Manager/Senior Team Lead about area readiness/quality and raises red flags in crises beyond his/her AOR.
• Suggests technical and functional improvements to add value to the product.
• Collaborates with other R&D, QA, documentation, and globalization teams.
• Constantly improves his/her professional level.

Education, skills and experience:

• 1+ year of experience on Team Lead position;
• At least 4 years of experience in data warehouse and multi-dimensional database design and development using formal methodologies;
• At least 3 years of experience with RDBMSs such as Postgres and Oracle;
• SQL performance tuning expert;
• Experience integrating 3rd party data sources;
• Experience with at least two ETL tools, e.g. Talend, Informatica, Kettle, etc.;
• Experience with at least one Big data tool: Hadoop, BigQuery, Hive, Presto, Spark;
• Experience with at least two BI tools: Looker, Tableau, SSRS, Power BI;
• Experience implementing ELT and ETL pipelines;
• Experience with Agile software development methodologies;
• Upper-Intermediate level of English.

Would be a plus:

• Experience with any cloud platform (e.g., Google Cloud Platform, AWS or similar);
• Experience in Java or Python development;
• Bash/Shell scripting;
• Knowledge of Git.
