Scala Developer

We are looking for Scala Developer to participate in development of variety products for leading global provider of information, innovative technology solutions and contract research services dedicated to using analytics and science to help healthcare stakeholders find better solutions for their patients.

Core Responsibilities:

• Participate in development, deployment and maintenance.
• Development and implementation of application designs.
• Involvement in system analysis and troubleshooting.
• Assist in the integration with 3rd party data providers.
• Create comprehensive automated unit and integration tests.
• Provide 3rd line support for developed solutions and contribute to best practice documentation.
• Work with the team or as an individual contributor to perform analysis, design, development and testing of solutions to meet requirements.

Technical skills and knowledge

Essential experience:

• 2+ years of experience in designing, developing, supporting and maintaining enterprise-scale applications using Scala & Java
• Experience with implementing Agile practices (Ideally SCRUM)
• Experience with Test-Driven Development, CI and design patterns
• Knowledge of algorithms and design patterns as well as the ability to apply them effectively

Required skills:

• Server: REST, Scala, SQL, Java
• Client: React.js
• Database & Search: PostgreSQL
• Build Automation: sbt

Nice to have skills:

• Client: Kendo UI, webpack
• Database & Search: Solr, HazelCast
• Build Automation:webpack, Bamboo
