Senior UI Engineer

Required skills

— 3+ years of web application development experience;
— 2+ years of modern JavaScript framework experience;
— Strong understanding of single page application architecture, material design, storybook, and modern best practices;
— Experience in building data visualization user interfaces;
— Experience with JavaScript testing practices and methodologies;
— Ability to work with various levels in the stack for debugging purposes;
— Strong knowledge of JavaScript tools (Webpack, Gulp);
— Excellent self-management skills: self-directed and capable of working effectively in a highly kinetic environment;
— Excellent communication skills: the ability to facilitate own meetings as necessary, comfortable working with all levels of the organization;
— ABILITY TO WORK having at least 3 hours overlap with PST timezone (6 PM — 9 PM by Kyiv).

As a plus

— Experience with GraphQL;
— Experience in bug fixing;
— Creating documentation, gathering requirements, stories, and tasks effort estimation;
— Unit and Automation testing, performance optimization.

Responsibilities

— Working in a collaboration with product managers and backend engineers to build elegant and innovative customer-facing applications and internal tools;
— Continuously improving the front-end code base with a focus on testability, maintainability, and performance;
— Contributing to architecture, tools, standards, and best practices for the engineering organization;
— Mentoring junior engineers.

Project description

OpsWorks Co. is a Ukraine-based outsourcing/outstaffing IT company with headquarter in Kyiv. We are looking for a Senior UI Engineer to build innovative applications to improve patient care.
As a senior member of a team, you will be a key technical specialist within the organization and help shape our system architecture and enhance our applications.

This is a full-time, long-term position.

We are a small but very diverse team. We are not looking to expand or hire aggressively as we prefer to give new employees the time to become an organic part of our team.
