Senior Java Back End Developer

Skelia is looking for strong Java Back End Developer for long-term and full-time employment at its service center in Lviv, Ukraine. Within a superb team in an international working environment, where you’ll be working for a leading player in transportation management software headquartered in Brussels and Vienna.

YOUR PROFILE

• 4+ years of experience in Java development
• Hands on experience with Spring Boot applications & JPA (Hibernate) 
• Experience with Git, Maven build scripts & Jenkins  
• Experience with Atlassian Products (e.g. Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket)  
• Experience with TDD and pull requests 
• Experience with cloud and the services offered by a cloud platform (preferably Azure) 
• Experience with Openshift/Kubernetes to deploy applications is nice to have
• Experience in software development on agile teams using Agile Developer practices 
• Familiarity with PostgreSQL
• Knowledge Angular v8+ will be a plus
• High level of spoken and written English
• Team player with good communication skills

YOUR MISSION

• Design, code and test stories for the product based on an Agile methodology, including use of user stories, acceptance criteria and other system engineering artefacts as part of an Agile team
• Ensure that developed code is maintainable, efficient, reliable, understandable, secure and fault tolerant   
• Help design a software architecture for new systems or upgrades to existing systems using best-of-breed web-based technologies  
• Know secure software development principles and techniques and apply them 
• Use software tools in cooperation with continuous integration and test automation while supporting software reuse and refactoring. Support the software configuration management process and understand software components and their interface requirements. 
• Interface with software engineers, system engineers, quality assurance, and other products team members to deliver the stories
• Provide Technical Support for the customers inquiries and technical problems resolution from the live application on occasions as third level of support  
• Have a focus on the Back End (Spring Boot) code but be able to help out the other side when needed
