Social Worker (Severodonetsk)

General purpose of the position:

Carrying out all activities involving social support to individual patients/survivors and linking them with other relevant support services and communities at large, according to MSF principles and guidelines. Enhancing the target population’s social condition to have an impact on health-related outcomes. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Conducting social assessments, identifying the social support needs of patients/survivors, including legal, protection, shelter/housing, financial/vocational, food security, and access to medical and psychosocial support services beyond the project intervention scope.
2. Assist HPAM in organizing and conducting health promotion sessions in MSF supported health facilities and in the communities.
3. Organize and ensure regular / routine meeting with stakeholders in the supported MoH health facilities in the communities and manage the data bases of stakeholders and other actors working on HIV. 
4. Together with HPAM; identify, recruit and capacitate / train the PEER groups members.
5. With the support of Medical & PS team and also with the assistance of the PEER leaders; plan, identify, coordinate and arrange mobile activities in the community of interest.
6. Support HPAM at drafting IEC materials.
7. Assist HP Activity Manager / Supervisor in conducting trainings, meetings and HP sessions in the community.
8. Conduct individual and group awareness sessions in health facilities, community and vulnerable groups.
9. To have professional flexibility  and able to take over some additional responsibilities (if needed) in order to avoid postponement of  some planned activities.

Requirements:

Education:

Essential, Bachelor degree in social work (BSW).

Experience:

• Two years minimum in a similar social job.
• Working experience with an international NGO is an advantage.

Languages:

• Native / fluent Ukrainian and Russian.
• English is an asset.

Job location: Severodonetsk and other locations in Luhansk Oblast.

Type of agreement: Civil law agreement three to six months – Open for extension.
