Plant Manager / General Manager

Our client is a leading manufacturer in the automotive and non-automotive industry. Its products provide safety, functionality and comfort to cars, rail and air transport, construction as well as electrical and home appliances.

The company will start up and lead a new plant in Ukraine. Due to necessity to lead relocation of the production process, launch the Plant and manage production process, the company is interested to attract a new Plant Manager / General Manager.

On this role, this specialist's responsibility would include but will not be limited to:

• Execute relocation of production operations to Ukraine
• Plan, organize, and run optimum day-to-day operations of the manufacturing plant to exceed customers' expectations
• Increase production, assets capacity and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standards
• Be responsible for production output, product quality and on-time shipping
• Oversee all levels of staff activity and performance enhancement
• Ensure company policies and procedures are followed at all times
• Screen, interview and manage the onboarding process of new hires
• Provide training and educational materials to staff as necessary
• Monitor equipment and ensure that they are in good working order and right place

Ideal candidate should possess the following characteristics:

• University degree in Industrial Engineering, ideally with MBA or similar
• At least 5-year experience as a plant manager
• Extensive experience and proven track record in building-up plants from scratch
• Automotive background with International companies will be an advantage
• Strong know-how in Production and Quality, more focus on quality will be a plus
• Experience of people management 3-5 years with leading about 100-400 people
• Experience in cost management and finance management of production
• Hands-on mentality and ability to demonstrate innovation and flexibility
• Ready to study new things, multifunctional person
• Fluent English and/or German
