Lead MSSQL developer

We are looking for an Experienced database Team Leader to work in an online gaming company, to support and develop the gaming platform.

The role is to manage a team of applicative DBAs, working in an OLTP environment.

In this position you will be responsible for leading the DB development team, ensuring quality of the code, design DB solutions, monitoring and troubleshooting production issues, setting professional guidelines and mentoring the team.

Job responsibilities:

• Participate in the entire development life cycle, from requirements, design, coding, deployment to rollout.
• Work closely with product managers, System analysts and testers in a highly collaborative team environment.
• Deliver secure, high performance, maintainable code using best practices.
• Ensure all development work is carried out with a consistently high-level of quality.

Requirements/ Qualifications and Skills:

• At least 5 years' experience as a SQL server developer, and 1-2 years' experience as a team leader.
• Strong Knowledge of MS SQL Server and Deep understanding of the DB internals (Isolation Levels, locking, indexes, engine, statistics)
• Experience in database design and understanding of databases' structure;
• Development experience as MS SQL Server developer - OLTP workload (Writing complicated stored procedures, functions and scripts)
• Experience in mission-critical systems, with high load and high availability demands.
• Excellent written and verbal communication;
• Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills;
• Ability to work closely with developers on projects;
• Ability to work well in a distributed team environment and brainstorm with other developers/senior developers on ideas, work flow and technologies.
• Motivated, team player with the ability to learn fast and great analytical skills.
