FUNCTIONS

A. Assessment preparation and planning

• Assisting in secondary data and literature review.
• Liaising with relevant stakeholders to obtain relevant secondary data.
• Contributing to the development of data collection instruments and data analysis plans for surveys, key informant interviews, focus group discussions and other methods of data collection in line with IMPACT tools and templates.
• Assisting in incorporating amendments and recommendations from stakeholders and partners into research design and methodology.
• Consulting internal stakeholders to ensure instruments are of a high quality and field-ready.
• Preparing materials for enumerator and team leader training sessions.
• Maintaining the preparation and planning documentation, ensuring strict version control.

B. Research cycle management and coordination of data collection activities

• Coordinating of, with the support of the field manager and field team leaders, the implementation of household surveys and key informant interviews.
• Contributing to enumerator and team leader training sessions in preparation for field.
• Monitoring and adjusting data collection strategies and tools based on feedback from the field.
• Ensuring overall quality of data and adherence to standard IMPACT processes.
• Providing regular updates on the status of the research cycle.

C. Report drafting and documenting the key steps of the research cycle

• Contributing to the analysis of primary data.
• Proofreading assessments and other key products to be released by IMPACT.
• Drafting presentations and other products on assessments results.
• Providing suggestions in terms of data visualization and data communication.
• Assisting in presentations of assessments results.
• Tracking of all feedback provided on products.
• Assisting in the planning of — and participating in — dissemination events.
• Ensuring adequate storage and filing of all assessment related documents

D. Provide M&E capacity to the assessment component of the REACH programme

• Support close compliance to M&E procedures of ACTED and IMPACT.
• Provide suggestions for improving of programme monitoring practices.

REQUIREMENTS

Education

• · University level education in social sciences, political sciences, research or relevant field

Technical requirements

• At least 2 years of progressively responsible experience in data collection and/or report writing and or drafting of analytical products
• Excellent presentation skills
• At least 1 year of experience in working with local authorities and NGOs in humanitarian/development context
• · Prior professional experience with Adobe products (InDesign in particular) preferred
• · Strong skills in Microsoft Office suite including Excel and Power Point skills
• · Understanding and familiarity with structures of datasets and frequency tables
• Previous experience in managing complex professional relationships
• Fluency in Ukrainian and Russian
• Good command of English (at least Intermediate level B1)
