Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager

Key results areas / principal responsibilities:

• Full support of Company management team in EH&S aspects of business
• Managing EH&S aspects of Company operations
• Leading the implementation of Group H&S Policy, Rules and Directives
• Development and implementation of safety and health and enviorenment concepts and assuring the compliance with current legal requirements
• Assures compliance with government and organization health and safety standards. Follows up forthcoming legislation and develops action plans for compliance
• Contact person for permitting authorities concerning safety, fire/environmental protection affairs
• Supporting in continuous development and implementation of the health and safety management sys-tem, based on the Group's and Division EHS policies. Provides expert advice and coaching to the local managers on EHS issues
• Assures that EHS standards are met and actively develops an H&S culture within the organization. Instructs and motivates the organization/employees to achieve goals and improvements in the EHS area
• Contributes in the development of and follows up on EHS targets. Provides management with performance evaluation as a basis for new goals and improvements
• Maintains current knowledge of developments, trends, competitive environment and regulatory changes in the EH&S area
• Educates and coaches staff of the Company in the implementation of methodologies/ procedures of the organization e.g. management safety visits, safety event investigation, monitoring of safe work practices.

• IT: Microsoft softwares (Word, Excel, MS Project, Powerpoint) : autonomous
• Academic training : Health and safety engineer or comparable education or at least bachelor degree in engineer field+ Certificate of advanced training which gives the right of responsible management for open mining works
• Experience: More than 2 years of relevant professional experience within the field of EHS at industrial plant.
