Senior MS SQL DB Developer

Our client works in online retail and is one of the largest players on the eCommerce market. The company is developing rapidly and today there is a need to transfer the existing IT solution to a microservice architecture.

The project’s technology stack is based on .NET and MS SQL. DataArt is the main vendor for the client. We are looking for a Senior Engineer with deep knowledge and understanding of MS SQL DB who will join a team of 7 engineers.

The specialist will have to help both with tuning the performance of the current solution and taking a direct part in creating the architecture of the future platform.

We hire people not to a project, but to the company. If the project (or your work in it) is over, you go to another project or to a paid “Idle”.

Required Skills and Experience

• 5+ years of experience in developing commercial applications using MS SQL Server
• Experience with projects in the eCommerce industry
• Good knowledge and experience in T-SQL development
• Understanding ETL and database replication
• Optimization of queries and recompilation
• Optimization of MS SQL Server performance
• Experience in building and maintaining data warehouses
• Excellent communication skills
• Knowledge of the peculiarities of MS SQL implementation

Additional Competencies

• Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
• Experience with Tableau
• Knowledge of .NET
• Understanding of the Agile development methodology
