Back-End Developer, Subscription Management Solutions

Our client is product company that builds market-leading software solutions for subscription spend & usage management. They are expanding its New York based development team by building up an independently located team of talented and highly motivated professionals, tightly integrated into the existing software development lifecycle. The role will contribute to the technical implementation of the technology migration/re-tooling projects as well as to participate in adding new functionality and enhancements to the core architecture, sub-systems, and individual components of the flagship web application in a JavaScript/Java environment.

This varied position will also include close communications and coordination of work with the New York based development team and New York and London based IT/Business personnel, analysis of client/industry requirements, reverse engineering existing systems, writing technical specifications and architecture diagrams, and developing web applications using industry best practices and methodologies.

Required Skills and Experience

• 5+ years of experience building enterprise level web applications
• Have developed in a 3-Tier environment powered by JEE, Spring Batch, REST/JSON, and DI driven architecture
• Strong knowledge of and practical experience with using Spring and Spring Batch
• Experience dealing with large volumes of data, performance tuning
• Ability to design and implement efficient JavaScript framework (jQuery/Angular) based applications
• Have an understanding of and practical experience with web application security (OWASP)
• Knowledge of JDBC/SQL. Have developed using major relational databases
• Ability to work comfortably with teams across multiple time zones
• Can use development and project management tools efficiently
• Spoken English
