Middle QA Automation Engineer, Traffic Management Solutions

The client is the market leader in the development of DNS server software for traffic management. The DNS system created by this company is connected via API to their tools using modern DevOps principles. This ensures the reliability and performance of applications. Among the company's clients are Salesforce, LinkedIn, Squarespace, and Dropbox.

We're looking for a specialist who will test code, apply existing technical solutions, and introduce new quality assurance tools and methods to ensure the quality of a traffic management platform. We expect the specialist to know how to work with continuous delivery (CD) technologies as well as various software test methodologies and test automation.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring software quality through various types of testing (integration, functional, load, regression, as well as performance and security testing)
• Participate in the development of new features to ensure testability and quality code
• Determine the approach to testing and create test plans
• Work with test documentation
• Provide support for testing project and product releases using automated tests and manual testing
• Perform predefined automated tests and interpret the results
• Cooperate with the team to improve the automation of testing and release processes

Required Skills and Experience

• Knowledge of QA disciplines (unit testing, smoke testing, and integration testing)
• Knowledge of quality assurance methodologies and automated test systems (TDD/BDD, CI/CD)
• Knowledge of Python
• Basic knowledge of Linux
• Experience debugging various programming languages and tools
• Basic understanding of networking, Internet infrastructure, and cloud computing
• Good spoken English
