The ICRC Delegation seeks to fill the following position:

Print Production Officer based in Kyiv

PURPOSE 

The Print Production Officer is the focal point within the delegation for the print production of communication and promotional material. S/he is also responsible for implementing the Field Production Book (FPB) process at the delegation, in coordination with the relevant regional communication center.

ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Manages the print and electronic production of Ukraine delegation and institutional publications in the relevant language from design to off-press, selecting and supervising the work of freelance graphic designers and printers so as to ensure quality service and respect for deadlines.
• Proactively proposes visual / textual communication solutions for the delegation’s public, operational and internal communication needs in line with the ICRC’s corporate visual identity and terminology.
• Initiates conception and leads development of print and visual digital communication and promotional products to support operational and public communication of the ICRC in Ukraine.
• Manages the promotion and distribution of new and updates of existing publications with the specialized departments within the delegation.
• Compiles the yearly delegation production book, ensuring implementation and follow-up.
• Works with the logistics team and client departments within the delegation in managing stocks of communication tools.

MINIMUM REQUIREDKNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:

• Over 3 years’ experience in design, visual communication, publishing, editing, communication project management or a related field.
• Very sound knowledge of print production processes (from design to print) and visual identity management; mastery of design software an asset.
• Experience in turning communication objectives and messages into compelling visual and textual communication
• Experience in working with external creative and production suppliers (designers, printers, editors and translators).
• Experience managing contracts and service level agreements an asset.
• Fluent command of Ukrainian and English. Knowledge of Russian a plus.
• Proven experience in translating strategy into tactics and defining clear goals.
