Healthcare Statistics Data Administrator
based in Kyiv

Aim of the position
Healthcare Statistics Data Administrator running and monitoring the health programs in cooperation with the health team, according to the objectives set out in the delegation annual planning (Planning for Results) for Ukraine Delegation.
General duties
- Understands and adheres to the seven fundamental principles of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement.
- Understands and adheres to the ICRC Code of Conduct.
- Respects and always observes staff regulations and security rules
- Always represents the ICRC in a professional manner.
- Performs all duties with the highest level of confidentiality in the interest of the employees and the ICRC.
- Daily follow up on health programs, through discussion with other staff members, reading internal messages, telephone contacts, meetings etc.
- Manages and updates Health department data tools.
- Writes weekly reports and distributes them to Health team.
- Translates Health documents from English to Russian/Ukrainian and vice versa. May be asked to assist with translation during meetings with stakeholders.
Accountabilities and Responsibilities
- Conducts assessments and regular field visits together with Health Officer to monitor activities and health-related threats to the population.
- Designs processes for data collection. Review/update data collection tools according to their relevancy.
- Collects, compiles and reports weekly and monthly statistics.
- Ensures proper management of information collected and produces the subsequent timely reports.
- Participates in decision making by taking part in relevant discussions.
- Communicates findings to stakeholders if required.
- Interprets at meetings and translates documents into local languages.
- Executes of simple office work (filing, photocopying. etc.)
In addition to the tasks above listed, may be asked to perform other tasks not mentioned here, the standard description of function being the reference framework for this position.
Certifications/Education
- Degree in medicine, finance, languages or other relevant field of expertise.
- Statistics knowledge/certification is an asset.
- Fluent written and spoken command of the local working languages as well as English.
- Good computer knowledge.
Professional experience
- Minimum 5 years of overall working experience.
- 1 year of experience in the humanitarian sector is a strong asset.
- Working experience with medical/finance data is a strong asset.
- Wide-ranging computer skills with advance knowledge of Excel, Word Office, Outlook, Macros.
- Excellent knowledge of the assigned geographic area.
