Network Security Engineer for Ciklum

Ciklum is looking for a Network Security Engineer to join our IT Department in Kyiv, who enjoys security work and possesses both deep and wide expertise in the network infrastructure security space. In this capacity you will have direct impact on company's security scope support and development to make things more secure by protecting system boundaries, keeping computer systems and network devices hardened against attacks and securing highly sensitive data.

Responsibilities:

• Development of company network perimeter protection rules
• Management of corporate network perimeter firewalls and security modules like IPS, URL Filtering, etc.
• Configuring of a network security equipment (based on WatchGuard, Cisco equipment)
• Provide network and cybersecurity management and consulting for Ciklum's clients
• Daily threats analyze and proactive protection measures implementation
• Monitoring of system logs and events to identify possible issue and prevent them
• Develop technical solutions and new security tools to help mitigate security vulnerabilities and automate repeatable tasks
• Conducts periodic scans of networks to find any vulnerability, also conduct penetration testing, in which they simulate an attack on the system to highlight or find any weaknesses that might be exploited by a malicious party.
• Monitor and control infrastructure performance in the areas of response, throughput, and availability
• Daily threats analyze and proactive protection measures implementation

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience as a Network engineer
• 1+ year in role of Network Security Engineer
• Experience designing secure networks, systems and application architectures
• Experience planning, researching and developing security policies, standards and procedures
• Hands on experience in security systems, including intrusion detection systems, authentication systems, log management, content filtering, Demilitarized Zones (DMZ), router ACLs (Access Control Lists), DDoS protection etc
• Thorough understanding of the latest security principles, techniques, and protocols
• Problem solving skills and ability to work under pressure
• Intermediate level of English

Desirable:

• Monitoring and logging system (Cacti, Nagios, Zabbix, Solar Winds, ELK, Splunk or similar)
• Routing protocols: OSPF, EIGRP
• Network Security or Cybersecurity certificates (Cisco, WatchGuard, Checkpoint, PaloAlto etc.)
• Cisco CCNA Security, CCNP Security certificates, Cisco Cybersecurity Specialist (or the equivalent knowledge level)
• Experience work with the following vendors: Cisco, HP(Aruba), WatchGuard, Fortinet, PaloAlto, Checkpoint.
• Knowledge of Dynamic ARP Inspection, NAT, Cisco GRE-Based VPN, Cisco DMVPN
• Competent to work at a high technical level on all phases of network operations
