On behalf of Thomas Cook, Ciklum is looking for Junior Front End Developer to join Kyiv team on full-time basis.

 

We are a team in a leading Europe travel company. Our mission is to deliver the right search capabilities to help our customers find the best holiday options for their specific needs.

 

We develop a flexible search platform which is multimarket and is used by different sales channels. This is done using Scrum, and we focus on Agile delivery, using Continuous Integration and Delivery. We work mainly with Front End (Angular), but also with microservices written in Node.js. Our services are built and deployed using automated pipelines.

Responsibilities:

  • Build the leanest, fastest UI for our Client web sites using core client-side technologies like Angular 5 and best practice techniques from Material Design
  • Advocate quality, W3C standards, and best practice techniques within your Agile development team, and influence colleagues to make the best development decisions by keeping your skills up to date and sharing your knowledge
  • Anticipate issues and risks at the module level and escalate appropriately
  • Build cross-browser / cross-device compatible pages to W3C and Client standards (including Accessibility compliance), removing legacy / problematic code and suggesting improvements
  • Meet demand and hit development deadlines
  • Develop, document, consume and support maintainable, reusable UI components with a multi-market & multi-language platform vision in mind
  • Grow your skills and share your knowledge with other developers (and beyond) to support our High-Tech High Touch business strategy.

 

 

Requirements:

  • Basic Front End development knowledge in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES2016/ES2017), TypeScript, W3C standards and a passion for the Front End
  • Basic knowledge of Angular 4+ including Angular CLI, Angular Material
  • Experience in responsive and adaptive design
  • Knowledge of responsive CSS
  • Knowledge of testing concepts (code coverage, testing frameworks, build tools)
  • Knowledge of JavaScript ES6 (ECMAScript)
  • Experience of using code versioning tool Git (git, github flow)
  • Collaborative nature and ability to work within a team
  • Good personal organisation skills, ability to prioritise
  • Upper-intermediate level of English

 

 

Desirable:

  • Experience developing Angular SSR application
  • Experience developing multi-site & multi-language applications
  • Experience working in Node.js
  • Basic knowledge of RxJS and experience with NGRX
  • Experience with Agile ways of working with the ability to interpret business requirements from user stories, to size, estimate and groom the backlog
  • Experience working in Scrum team
  • Accessibility, SEO, cutting edge UI techniques and relevant W3C standards
  • AWS Knowledge
