Group Manager

We love agile and use T/BDD. According to millions of users our projects are definitely high load. You will be a significant part of a team of experienced engineers who are continuously creating new features and pushing our servers to handle higher loads efficiently.

In this role you will lead a group of scrum teams, creating an environment that encourages and supports technology excellence. You will be involved in the professional activity and will invest in development teams: to direct, educate, bring ideas about process improvements and specialization.

Project management:

• Leads development projects within the Group;
• Cooperates closely with Product Owners to assure development focus and target delivery; co-develops product roadmaps;
• Encourages "best-practice" sharing through the participation and promotion of meetings, newsletters, knowledge sharing programs and all other initiatives;
• Ensures proper risk management;
• Improves achievements of his groups;
• Promotes a culture of quality (zero defects approach) in teams;
• Manages and prioritizes the team's tasks, while balancing business thinking with the team's needs.

People management:

• Defines challenging goals for himself and his groups;
• Helps his/her employees in getting the best of themselves. Encourages autonomy and independence of the employees;
• Runs performance management and performance improvement processes within the group;
• Takes full accountability for the continuous improvement of his group;
• Committed for the professional development of his group members;
• Coaches and supports his employees;
• Invests in motivation within the group.
• Help the team to identify and resolve risks and impediments, resolve conflicts

Requirements:

• Experience in managing teams successfully;
• 5+ years of experience as a server developer (Java stack is an advantage);
• Good understanding of SCRUM methodology and experience of implementing it in teams;
• Excellent managerial, interpersonal and communication skills;
• Ability to perform under pressure and changing priorities for result;
• Conflict management and resolution skills;
• Good English, ability to communicate fluently.
