Copywriter (English native speaker)

Wargaming is looking to hire a Copywriter for the MS-1 Content team.

MS-1 is Wargaming’s premier mobile development studio behind World of Tanks Blitz, a renowned cross-platform shooter boasting over 140 million downloads around the globe. MS-1 is a multi-site studio with offices in Minsk, Moscow, and Vilnius, and currently employs over 325 professionals of various backgrounds and experience across all disciplines, including development, publishing, and operations. This cultural diversity helps deliver games that click with different audiences around the globe.

Currently, we are looking for a skilled copywriter who is passionate about games, ready to learn all about World of Tanks Blitz, and will build content strategies for our future mobile projects. We need a person who will get to the bottom of game updates documentation, dig into ongoing events mechanics, and then share the news about it with our players in crystal clear English writing.

If writing is the core of your profession, and you value conciseness and clearness over volume and excessiveness, you are the person we need! If you can embed any event into a game's universe, or vice versa, describe it to the general public so that they want to participate — you are the person we want!

What will you do?

• Create marketing and in-game texts for World of Tanks Blitz and other mobile games

• Proofread, edit, and review the content in English written by colleagues

• Create a tone of voice, content strategy, and other policies for new games

• Interact with nearby departments to provide full-cycle support for features or updates to be covered in a game news/screens/texts, i.e., collecting information, brainstorming, proofreading, and getting approvals from feature-owners.

What are we looking for?

• English native speaker

• 1+ years' experience creating articles and other texts in English

• Can either express a clear message using only text and suggest visualization to complement or replace the writing

• A stickler for detail and logical consistency

• Able to endure criticism without resentment

• Keen on the games industry

• Responsible team player with a high level of self-organization ability

• Self-driven motivation to prioritize multiple tasks in an efficient and effective manner

• Experience working in a multilingual and multicultural environment.

What additional skills will help you stand out?

• Gaming experience in World of Tanks Blitz or other mobile shooters

• Experience working with CMSs

• Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS

• Basic knowledge of Photoshop

• Understanding of Russian
