Chief construction engineer (Kryvyi Rih)

Our client- world-leading industrial gases company, opens vacancy Chief construction engineer,Kryvyi Rih

Responsibilities:

• Provides technical support to the Site Superintendents, QA/QC Manager, EH&S Manager and Certification Engineer.
• Reviews engineering and design documents for errors and omissions and prepare Engineering Site Instructions (ESI’s) for correction.
• Prepares, expedites and coordinates responses for TQ’s / SQ’s required for clarification of drawing or specification information.
• Coordinates with the the Project Engineering Manager (PEM) and/or Discipline Engineers based in Moscow or Kiev and 3rd party design (Local Design Institute) regarding detailed design progress and engineering issues
• Monitors field installation works for compliance with the drawings and specifications
• Reviews Construction Method Statements prepared by the Construction Contractor from a field engineering prespective.
• Maintains as-built drawings.
• Reviews drawings from Vendors / Sub Contractors for completeness and compliance.
• Assists with Vendor technical issues and clarifications
• Coordinates with Document Control for proper assignment of documents for filing purposes.
• Monitors and expedite engineering deliverables
• Supports reviewing the facility design (ISBL & OSBL) and engineering BOQ’s for completeness.
• Assists to prepare technical aspect of field requisitions for site procurement activities.
• Supports the Completions Coordinator / Certification Engineer with engineering verification of systems completions.

Skills / Qualifications:

• Ability to interact effectively with multidisciplinary teams of engineering design professionals including civil / structural, mechanical, piping, electrical, instrumentation and completions / certification engineers
• Technical understanding of a broad array of engineering domains including international norms and standards (civil / structural, mechanical, piping, E&I).
• University Degree with Chartered (CEng) or Professional Engineering (PE) Status, preferably in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. Other certifications will also be considered in case candidate experience is deemed relevant to the project.
• 5 -10 years’ progressive international experience in a similar role
• Recent on-shore Industrial Gas, Petrochemical and/or Oil & Gas experience. Desirable knowledge of ASU Plants
• Desirable experience of Mechanical Completions Certification and preferably knowledge of GoCompletions at a user level.
• Ukrainian & Russian and excellent English (spoken and written); a Site Interpreter/Translator will be available to assist.
